BRENDA and Bill Broun celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on January 10, 60 years after marrying at Wesley Church, Perth.
The Merriwa couple marked the occasion with a party with family and friends.
Bill met Brenda at a dance in Dangin and they were engaged in 1947.
It seemed they were destined to cross paths as both returned to the Dangin and Quairading districts after completing military duties.
The Broun’s have four children, Allan, Colin, Jeffrey and Janet, and now have nine grandchildren.
Since retiring from work, Bill and Brenda have travelled extensively and are involved with Sorrento Bowling Club.
