IT is a busy few weeks ahead for Hills BMX club, which is hosting state titles this weekend and a Come and Try Day on March 13.
Club registrar Janine Lister said the state titles at Ray Owen Reserve in Lesmurdie began today with an opening ceremony led by Kalamunda Shire President Don McKechnie at 9.15am and racing from 10am.
There will also be a celebrity race at 2pm.
The Come and Try Day aims to attract new members to the club, which currently has 100 riders.
Mrs Lister said the club would provide bikes, helmets and gloves to people who wanted to give BMX riding a go. She said the club had members ranging in age from under five to over 50.
Mrs Lister said the Come and Try Day would start at 10am and would include a bike giveaway from BMX WA and a sausage sizzle.
