A WINTHROP family has been left devastated after their 3m-long water slide, which was being stored at a work yard in Bibra Lake, was stolen earlier thie month.

The McIlroy children were preparing for the return of their water slide, which was getting refurbished, when the bad news came that it had been stolen.

“The robbers had cut a hole in the fence and there must have been at least three carrying the slide because it is very heavy,” mum Melissa McIlroy said.

“I just don’t know who could do this and I am sure someone has got to have seen something.”

Christie (14) and Cathryn (11) McIlroy said they were upset someone could steal their slide.

“We play on it all the time in summer and have grown up with it,” Christie said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

I agree. Thieves are on a slippery slope when they stoop to taking childrens' play equipment.

Obviously a slippery character.

Come on stealing kids toys is a despicable act.
Hope the cops find them.
