EMPLOYEES at an Applecross business wore their Perth Wildcats support on their sleeves last Friday when they turned up to work in their team’s colours on the day of the national basketball grand final.
Austib Group marketing manager John Lowe said all the staff wore Wildcats T-shirts to work and the reception area was decorated with support material.
“We are big supporters of the Wildcats and think it is fantastic they made the grand final, so we wanted to throw our support behind them,” he said.
“The reception area at our head office was decorated with balloons, signage and even a basketball hoop.”
The supporters were rewarded that night, with the Wildcats beating the Wollongong Hawks 96-72 at Challenge Stadium to secure their fifth NBL championship.
