And nothing goes better with pancakes than bananas.
(Yes, the link between title and content is tenuous but I am determined to make it work.)
Recently, a friend of mine went on YouTube for the first time to look for videos of her boss (she didn't say why and I didn't ask). A little while later, she came back and said she had no idea there was so much dumb stuff out there.
While it is true that YouTube seems to be a huge dumping ground for angst-ridden teens and closet exhibitionists from Russia, I confess that I have been visiting it almost nightly, and deriving a lot of enjoyment from ... looking up 80s music videos.
For 3 or so minutes I get to drench myself in nostalgia and pretend I'm a size 6 (oh, OK, maybe an 8) again. Mind you, I was only 11 at the time.
You could probably join up all the Bananarama songs and videos together in a single loop and no one would notice (the Stock Aitken Waterman curse/blessing), but they still have a very special place in my heart.
I hope you enjoy: Love in the First Degree by Bananarama.
P.S. How awesome are the male dancers' costumes? Teehee!
