I PREDICTED Fame the Musical would be a success after I attended (and failed) the auditions a couple of months ago.
The talented singers belting out Fame songs could be heard over the walls of the studio, making me increasingly nervous and causing me to stumble through my song when my name was called. (Well, that’s my excuse, anyway).

'Bare the musical' was not what I expected it was going to be.
That's not to say I was disappointed - far from it! In fact, I was pleasantly surprised and walked away feeling somewhat liberated.

IF there is one show you should see this year, it’s The Rocky Horror Show.
I went to Melbourne last weekend with my friend for her birthday, after scoring cheap flights, and decided to buy her a ticket to the show as a gift.
It was a complete surprise and I told her on the way to the theatre - she was thrilled!

WHEN I think of cabaret, I think of a narrative being told with sexiness, dancing and energetic singing.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case with the show at Downstairs at His Maj’s, last night.

WHEN I was asked by a member of the Limelight Theatre whether I could audition for Fame the Musical and write about the experience, I must admit it was a nervous ‘yes’ that I gave in reply.
I had not performed in any productions since I was in high school but I had attended many Limelight Theatre shows in the past - all of which were to a high standard.
